Had an amazing flight with Kylie on Valentines evening, Was a stunning afternoon so warm and still, spur of the moment walked in and spoke about a flight that afternoon. They were very accommodating and we got one sorted, Very exciting first time on a water plane. The scenery was stunning, the flight was amazing and so smooth, Kylie was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out places of interest. We flew over Doubtful Sounds where we were heading the following day. Highly recommend this trip. Thank you so much, Great memories

We took a flight with Ivan over Te Anau and out to Doubtful Sound on the float plane. Such a fun way to see NZ’s beautiful landscape. Ivan was excellent, very safe and more than capable pilot. My son of 14 is a budding pilot to be, so Ivan took the time to also explain what he was doing, the features of the plane and giving some very sound, qualified insights into flying. The scenery from up high is immense and such a cool way of seeing the Sounds. Highly recommend this, even to Kiwis checking out our own backyard .... we are so lucky. Thanks again to Ivan, we’ll be back

WOW, absolutely a must do. Flew Lake Manapouri - Doubtful Sound and tracked over the Alps and Valleys to the head of the South Arm of Lake Te Anau. Views were so inspiring and Kylie’s commentary added to this amazing flight. 10/10. Thank you Kylie !!!

We went on a short 15 min flight over the area with Ivan on a stunning clear day. Great way to see Te Anau scenery in a short time. Sights you can’t see by road. Ivan was fun to fly with.

So everyone has given this 5 stars. Us too. Bucket list ticked (our first float-plane ride) and a fantastic experience. We took the most popular trip, 15 minutes over the Hidden Lakes, up Lake Te Anau a bit, and around and home via Lake Manapouri. An entertaining commentary, views to die for, and the fun of take off and splash down (as opposed to touch down on land) this was fun. Totally recommended.

We enjoyed a stunning flight over the Dusky and Doubtful Sounds with Kylie at the controls. Amazing! It was so beautiful and showed off the vast, rugged beauty of this gorgeous part of the world. Kylie made it super interesting and we felt really safe the whole time. It was quite breathtaking and I would thoroughly recommend this great adventure.

What a great thing to do...its a must as there isn't any other seaplane in South Island. Friendly pilot...instructions and safety covered..we enjoyed it immensely.

This was a last minute decision and I’m very glad we did it. What you get to see up there is surreal and the pilot is very knowledgeable. I’m a nervous flyer and thought it may have been difficult being in a small plane but once we were up the thought didn’t cross my mind again.

What an amazing experience to have Ivan from Wings & Water fly the Seaplane in and pick up us up from the back of the Cruise Te Anau boat. Nice to see operators working together. So beautiful seeing the hidden lakes from above, Te Anau lake etc. Ivan has a lot of knowledge and can crack a good joke.

We were hoping to do a flight to Doubtful Sound but the weather was not obliging. Our pilot Kylie kept updating us during the day, then bingo, the weather cleared and we were off over Lake Te Anau, Manapouri, Power Station, the Southern Alps!!, fiords, rugged valleys and the beautiful Doubtful Sound. Can't speak highly enough of Kylie's helpfulness, skills, commentary and sense of humour. To top it all off, we were joined in the air by her husband Carl in his stunt plane and on our return to Te Anau, he gave the most amazing acrobatic display we have ever seen. Can't recommend these two pilots highly enough - you have to book them. We had a ball.

We decided to do this on the spur of the moment. And what a treat it turned out to be. Our pilot Kylie was the friendliest and most engaging professional we met in our week long tour of the Te Anau and Milford region. She made such a difference to what up until then, had been a pretty much “meh”, mediocre week. We have flown in Helicopters, Fixed Wing, Ski Planes, Biplanes, (and even jumped from a few of them) but this was something else! We would absolutely recommend this experience. Photos just don’t do this justice!

This is hands down the best experience we’ve done in NZ!! The views are out of this World, and Ivan & Kylie have a wealth of knowledge and experience that adds so much authenticity to this “must do”, “once in a lifetime” activity. If you leave Fiordland without seeing it from the air you will never know how much beauty lies hidden from your view! Do it!

Spur of the moment decision to tick off another item on the bucket list saw myself and wife walking off the street into the booking office to see if a float plane flight was available. Ivan could not have been more accommodating and provided a list of options. One of these was to combine a flight with another person who initially wanted a longer flight but following a phone call was willing to join us for a slighter shorter journey, but one that as my own original intent but required a minimum of three people. All negotiated and arranged, half an hour later, Kylie took the three of us on a wonderful forty-minute flight over Lake Te Anau, Southern Alps, Doubtful Sound, and Lake Manapouri before returning. Kylie was a wonderful pilot, and amidst maintaining appropriate control of the aircraft over mountainous terrain (which is no easy task in New Zealand) was able to provide considerable dialogue for many of the stunning sights observed. An absolute wonderful lifetime experience enabled by two persons who obviously have a passion for what they are doing, which includes allowing dreams to be fulfilled and the bringing excitement into lives.

Kylie, the owner pilot, called at short notice to suggest we move our flight to take advantage of the great clear, calm weather so we left on an evening flight from Lake Te Anau across Lake Manapouri, across the mountains to Dusky Sound, Dagg Sound, Break sea sound and Doubtful Sound to return around an hour later. The views and photo opportunities of this largely untouched and remote area were just awesome and Kylie’s commentary was very interesting. So many Wow moments in this very special journey over such an amazing part of NZ. Worth every cent to experience.
